James, for the past decade, co-founded signa haiti, a re-forestation, agronomic, construction and phyto+biologicals ngo operational in Haiti. An American architect, a graduate from Washington University in St. Louis, with practices in Miami/Fl and Paris/France, he is now living in Miami. While in Paris, he was an original member of the ngo UNESCO/INSULA (International Scientific Council for Small Island Nations Development), and represented INSULA at the pre-Kyoto Climate Change Hearings in New York. He also helped establish a telemedicine link with  Bostin/MA based, SatelLife, an initiative of the 1985 Nobel Peace laureate, the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and the medical staff at St. John’s Hospital, St. Johns, Newfoundland.

Presently, James is the managing partner of atelier temenos llc, located in Homestead Florida. The primary mission of atelier temenos llc is the research and development of plants, as natural products, that can be used as nutraceuticals and topical preparations for skin disorders, with specific focus upon Artemisia annua (A.annua) and Artemisia afra (A. afra).  James is coordinating/contracting this work with the international foundation La Maison de l’Artemisia/Paris,(MdA) and Worchester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) to establish a viable semi-tropical cultivar of A. annua and A. afra for commercial and philanthropic interests.
